Developer's Kit
While VERICUT's capabilities are ideal for most facilities, some users with special simulation or unusual processing requirements may require this high-level programming tool designed to increase the program's ability to interpret and translate complex or unusual NC machine code data. Programming experience is recommended.
Do You Need the Machine Developer's Kit?
In most instances, VERICUT easily accommodates all of your simulation and NC file translation needs. VERICUT strives to support all the codes that are typically executed when running a job. However, it does not support every single code for every available control. A special milling cycle, for example, may not be supported. Under special circumstances, it may be necessary to customize VERICUT with the Machine Developer's Kit.
Based on a programming language similar to C, the Machine Developer's Kit provides a great deal of flexibility over interpreting and translating NC file formats. With the Machine Developer's Kit, VERICUT can be modified to interpret non-standard and unique NC data formats. New functions can be written for new or enhanced control capabilities. Hardware and NC controls can be retrofitted or replaced without retiring NC code. VERICUT can be set to output NC code compatible with the new equipment.
