CAD/CAM Interfaces
Mastercam -to-VERICUT Interface
The Mastercam-to-VERICUT Interface from CGTech integrates the two programs to help you create the most accurate and efficient NC tool path programs possible! With the new interface you can launch VERICUT from Mastercam. The interface utilizes Mastercam's C-Hook technology to automatically transfer setup information including tools, tool paths, and stock location to VERICUT in their proper orientation. VERICUT verifies NC milling, drilling, turning, EDM, mill/turn, and Mastercam roll-die machining operations to detect errors without doing a manual prove-out. It also optimizes NC programs in order to produce more efficient tool paths that save time, produce higher quality surface finishes, and prolong tool life. VERICUT supports Mastercam NCI files and G-code data. The Mastercam and VERICUT processes run independently so you can create/edit a tool path while verifying or optimizing another.
CATIA V5-to-VERICUT Interface
Following the successful VERICUT interface for CATIA V4, the CATIA V5-to-VERICUT Interface provides a smooth upgrade path for CATIA users who have transitioned to CATIA V5.
The CATIA V5-to-VERICUT Interface tightly integrates the two programs to help you create the most accurate and efficient NC programs possible! It makes verifying and optimizing NC programs and simulating CNC machines a much easier and more efficient process.
You can verify individual operations, a series of operations, or a set of complete NC programs. All stock, fixture, and design geometry is automatically transferred to VERICUT in the correct orientation, along with NC program, tooling, machine and control data and other simulation parameters.
VERICUT runs independently of the CATIA process, so you can continue working in CATIA version 5 while simulating and optimizing your NC programs. With VERICUT as your simulation package, you can also verify and optimize NC programs from other CAM systems in CL or post-processed G-code format.
TDM Systems Interface
This module enables you to use the data in your TDM system in VERICUT for simulating and verifying NC programs! The interface extracts tool lists from TDM and creates VERICUT tool assemblies. It is an on-the-fly live connection to TDM. No intermediate files are produced, so the tooling information used is always the most current available from TDM.
Pro/E -to-VERICUT Interface (included with Pro/E)
The Pro/E-to-VERICUT Interface gives Pro/E users a better way to work with VERICUT from within the CAD/CAM environment. VERICUT is launched from within Pro/Engineer's NC menus and can be run interactively or in batch mode. Tool path motions for the selected Operation or NC Sequence; tool descriptions; and reference, workpiece and fixture models from the current manufacturing session are automatically transferred to VERICUT. The VERICUT session runs as an external process, enabling you to work in Pro/Engineer while VERICUT verifies the tool path.
Unigraphics -to-VERICUT Interface
CGTech's Unigraphics® Interface for VERICUT provides an easy & convenient way to verify tool paths directly from within Unigraphics! The interface can verify individual tool paths, a series of selected tool paths, or a complete sequence of operations. With the Unigraphics Interface, tool path files are linked to manufacturing operations, enabling easy selection of tool path motion from the desired operation. All tool path and tooling information is automatically transferred to VERICUT. Design, Stock, and Fixture models are also automatically transferred to VERICUT in their proper orientation. The VERICUT process runs external to Unigraphics so you can continue working in Unigraphics while verifying the tool path.
CATIA V4-to-VERICUT Interface
The CATV module is a fully integrated CATIA to VERICUT interface that provides you with an improved way to work with CATIA and VERICUT. Using CATV, you start and work with VERICUT from inside CATIA. Once both programs are running, it's simple to toggle between the two—enabling you to more quickly create and verify an NC program. CATV transfers CATIA geometry to VERICUT for stock, fixture, and design models. CATV also converts CATIA line and arc elements (two-dimensional tool profiles) into VERICUT cutter, shank, and holder tool definitions. Based on the CATIA coordinate systems, translations and rotations are automatically calculated. With CATV there is no need for expensive third-party stereolithography (STL) converters. It provides the option to output STL data directly from CATIA for rapid prototyping. Unlike converters which can only output STL data from solids geometry, CATV has the ability to output additional CATIA geometry such as faces, skins, surfaces, and volumes as STL data.
WorkNC -to-VERICUT Interface
This interface provides WorkNC users with an easy and convenient way to verify and optimize tool paths. VERICUT can be run directly from WorkNC, either interactively or in batch mode. To make setup easier, tool descriptions from WorkNC are automatically transferred to VERICUT and stock blocks are created based on WorkNC settings.
